Every Friday a group of volunteers from Our Lady of Mercy Church join other volunteers from different parishes to provide some food and other donated items to people from Jamaica who are in need of extra help.

The mission at Rufus King Park, known as "FAITH MISSION", has been conducted by Mary Joeston for more than 20 years, and during that time many people have found great joy in being part of it. The spirit of service and sharing among the people who come and those volunteering is very enriching.

The peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, that our church provides every Friday, are made by the children in our Confirmation Classes as part of their community service projects.
